Campus Ministry
Brother and Sister Armstrong are originally from Miami. Because they knew of no holiness churches in the area, they attended an Assemblies of God church. With every passing service, they got more and more frustrated with the worldliness that prevailed, and the prosperity gospel the church's leadership was preaching. A fellow open air preacher told them about God's Miracle Mission and they came to visit us in December of 2006. The rest is history. We fell in love with them and, I hope, they fell in love with us! ;) They have been members of our church ever since! I hope we get to hold on to them for many years! They have been a wonderful blessing to The Mission. They have encouraged and helped catapult us into a more serious open air preaching ministry.
They are full-time campus/open air preachers that have been on the field (as of November 2007) for over a year. They waste very little time. They are consistently on the campus 4 to 5 days a week, for up to 6 hours a day. They are motivated by an intense love for God and a burning desire to see souls saved.
Brother Armstrong spends a great deal of time studying God's Word, therefore has an uncanny ability to quote many passages of scripture. It is a great wonder to watch him overwhelm his gainsayers with 75 to 100 passages of Scripture in a matter of 4 or 5 minutes.
Sister Armstrong is also an amazing person. She has a sweet, submissive spirit which aggravates the liberal minded girls on the campuses to no end. She has set out to teach them what their true calling in life is -to be a godly wife, mother, and servant of Jesus Christ. She too has a vast arsenal of scriptural knowledge and can hold her own in nearly any situation. She is probably the most intense witness that I have ever met. It is nothing uncommon to see her reach for a soul at any time, and in any given situation (restaurants, stores, streets, etc.). She is seemingly fearless when it comes to reaching a lost soul for Christ!
Donations
The Armstrongs receive no set salary or wages from any particular church or organization. We often laugh at how he is sometimes accused of intentionally getting people mad enough to assault him, and then sue them for large settlements. One USF student proclaimed Brother Armstrong made $250,000 in 2006 by suing people. Though I wish they had made $250,000 last year, they did not . . . not even close.
Though God's Miracle Mission supports them monthly, we only supply a small fraction of what it takes to keep them on the road. They are sustained by love offerings and donations from churches and individuals that also believe in what they are doing. They are not the typical evangelist who can depend on a love offering every night of a revival. Most of their congregations are vile heathen that hate them and God. Needless to say, they do not receive a lot of support from the students. If you are interested in supporting them financially, you can send your donations to:
